Here are some cool ways to stretch your hair without the damaging effects of heat.
Twists and braids
You can use this method to keep your twist-outs, braid-outs, and wash and go’s fresh and stretched. This method also helps to prevent knotting and tangling of the hair strands. Twist outs are very simple and are a popular go-to style for many naturals because they're so easy. Part your hair in sections and apply your favorite moisturizer and styler. Detangle your hair and proceed with the two-strand twists. For best results, leave the twists in overnight. The longer you leave the twists, the more defined your curls will be. Before unraveling the twists, apply light oil to your fingers to help prevent frizz as you untwists.Check it out below
Curl Formers
This method allows you not only to stretch out your tresses without using heat but it also allows you to achieve beautiful spiral curls in the process. This method of stretching also provides a hair style that lasts for at least week and the versatility to style your hair various way. (ex. Up do’s, buns, etc).
Bunning
This method not only stretches those curls and kinks but it is a great protective style, keeping those ends tucked away and protected. Not only is this a great protective style and stretching method, buns are very stylish, you can dress them up or down with cute accessories and style them in various ways (ex. High, low, side, etc).
Wrapping
This method stretches my hair to the max and allows me to achieve numerous styles with my hair. The best part of this method is not the fact that it stretches your tresses out tremendously but it allows you to achieve a blown out look without actually using a blow dryer. All you have to do to use this method is take section of your hair at a time and bobby pin them in place around your head in a wrapping motion. Then wrap a scarf around your head for a few hours or overnight to flatten out the hair.
